Where it all began
These are the prime Bahamas bonefishing grounds of Andros Island’s North and Middle Bights — between Behring Point, Moxey Town and the West Side — where legendary guides like “Crazy Charlie” Smith, Rupert Leadon and Frankie’s late uncle Ivan Neymour pioneered the art of fly fishing for bonefish.
There are endless flats for poling and hard-bottom flats for excellent wade fishing. The fish here average four pounds and up — and nearly every day presents shots at double-digit bones.

A lifetime on these waters
Captain Frankie Neymour heads a team of top Andros guides who have spent their entire lives prowling these waters. They are great company, expert instructors, and know this vast maze of wilderness mangrove flats, creeks, cuts and islands like their own back yards.
Time permitting on arrival day, you might rig a rod and head straight for the flats — the boats launch from our private dock just steps from the Inn, minutes from the fishing.

What to Bring
Big fish, big flies
Guests supply their own gear, so here is exactly what the guides recommend you pack. Spin-fishing guests are happily accommodated, too.
- Flies
- #2 to #6 hooks in tan, brown, pink and chartreuse — Clouser, Charlie, Gotcha, Shrimp and Crab patterns.
- Weights
- Plenty of bead-chain and larger lead-eye flies to get down fast on deeper flats; lighter ones for tailing fish on shallow wading flats.
- Tippet
- 12 lb to 20 lb tippets are recommended.
- Bonefish rods
- 7 wt to 10 wt — an 8 wt or 9 wt is ideal.
- Big game
- 10–12 wt for tarpon, barracuda and other larger gamefish.

- Guests supply their own gear. Spin-fishing guests are happily accommodated, too.
